The Water website will keep you informed about water/sanitation projects realized within the Clubs of our Federation, about International and local events connected with water or sanitation and about any initiative that can promote the SI/E theme Safe Water for a Safe Life
You can also consult the PEP, the Project Exchange Poolor project bank where Soroptimist clubs can present projects or ask for assistance while other Soroptimist clubs can join to help and cooperate. Clubs from Eastern Europe or Africa where a lot still need to be done for women and children, can propose a detailed project with budget specifications and post it on the PEP in search for a Club who wants to contribute.
Through exchange and contacts the projects will be realized and disseminated throughout the whole Federation .
Fundraising, although important, is not the only way to reach your goal and realize an idea and that is the reason the Experience Exchange Pool or EEP has been created. The focus lies within sharing expertise and knowledge, not only money. Language courses, training workshops, medical help, technical advice are a few examples of what EEP has to offer.
Clean water, adequate sanitation, health and education are the basic needs to be able to live a safe and normal life. Water, health and education are so intertwined that you can’t have one without the other and this is reflected within PEP and EEP. All undertakings, educational as well as health projects, that are linked with water and/or sanitation will be taken into consideration.
SOROPTIMIST stands for SOLIDARITY BETWEEN WOMEN!
Embrace our SI/E goal "Safe Water for a Safe Life" and benefit from our PEP and EEP!
It is the best way to achieve fulfill our Soroptimist mission.
