Soroptimists go for Water Our Programme: Safe Water for a Safe Life

Experience Exchange Pool

The EEP will be managed in the same way as is the PEP
The EE Pool, will serve as a database where competences can be shared, where members can offer services and clubs can ask for expertise..

Let me give you an example: a Club wants to support an orphanage with 40 girls but the sanitation and toilet blocks are insufficient and a well need to be drilled to provide clean water. The Club would like the girls to be educated and being able to earn a living, so they need textbooks, sewing machines and teachers. Those Soroptimists have a good and useful project but no money to realize it. What they can do is send a project for the building of the toilets and showers and another for drilling the well, to the PEP and ask for help and funding. They still need somebody to teach the girls, so they post an appeal on the EEP asking for a volunteer who comes for a few weeks and show the girls how to sew clothes.

Many of our members want hands on projects; the EEP gives them the opportunity to be part of a project and make a difference with their own hands and skills for women and children.

The advancement of these projects will be regularly updated in order to have at all times a real situation.
